I chose to make sushi because it's something I really enjoy eating, it's healthy, but the cost is often a deterrent for me. So I want to try to make it at home and see if I can get close to restaurant sushi, and if i do, will I save money or time?

What will a successful outcome look like (what is your "success criteria")?
A successful outcome will be sushi rolls of various types that both look and taste good to me and others. I will determine this by giving all of my tasters a scoring sheet (1-10) to rate the overall quality. If I receive an average rating of 7.5, then I will have succeeded
Is there an aspect of play and/or making in your project. Is there an opportunity for failure? It is important that you avoid pure knowledge pursuits for this project.
Play – Yes! Lots, as I get to make and eat something I really love.
Failure – yes, sushi is challenging to make and make well. We’ve all had bad or at least subpar sushi.

- What kinds of rolls are easier/more difficult than others?
- Where do I buy ingredients?
- Will I save money versus going out?

- Are some fish more safe to eat raw than others?
- Will there be any time-savings making my own (incl. shopping)
